What a long and exciting weekend! Aukai and I packed up the car to go into town Friday night for the big ArtFest all weekend. We woke up to lots of rain on Saturday morning so we decided not to go to the festival. Good thing cause it poured all day and it was windy! Wind+jewelry show=BAD. But Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day and my great friend Drew came out to enjoy the nice weather and help out with sales.

We make such a great team. I make her make all the decisions cause I’m indecisive. We like to brainstorm together.

The day ended up great! I even got to jump in the ocean in Waikiki…it’s been years I think. I cut my foot on the reef but it was worth the swim! Then off to Diamond Head Cove for an acai bowl with the girls! :)

New Office!

I finally got settled into my new office, even though I’ve had it for a year! I kind of had other priorities, becoming a new mom and everything….

But my sweet husband helped me to paint the room a beautiful seafoam green (all in one night), and then we installed all new glass desks. Everything is so much more efficient and I am so much more inspired to work and create beautiful pieces!

It took me a long time to figure out how everything was going to flow but I just kept visualizing how I wanted things to happen and sure enough it all came into play…

After getting all the work done in the office, Aukai and I take a little break and go to the beach. Then we come home and go to the backyard to check on our sunflowers.

Hawaii RED Magazine Event

Well last weekend we got to go to this awesome place in Waialua called The Land. It’s a totally self-sustaining village of homes. The houses are all solar-powered and they have their own well, plus they grow their own food! Sounds like paradise to me…

Hawaii Red Magazine, a new online magazine, sponsored the event with lots of eco-friendly companies, such as Tr3es, Soleil Boutique, and others all gathered together to celebrate. I was graciously invited to come and show my jewels…I invited my friends and family and my little man came too! Great fun was had by all!

I finally got to do a photoshoot to update some of my pictures to be posted on the site soon as well as my stash of pictures to put on display at my shows! I got to work with a wonderful young lady and friend of mine, Corinne. I think she is just gorgeous. Not only is she gorgeous but she’s smart and funny too. Sorry guys, she’s taken :)

The shoot was so much fun and Corinne had such great energy. She was very easy to work with, especiallly since the whole shoot was so last minute. But we got some great pictures and our friend Mike was so nice to let us shoot in his beautiful yard. Yay for spontaneity! :)
