My sister can sing like Ariel, from the Little Mermaid. She and I used to sing together when we were little. Apparently, we used to dance around my grandmother’s house and Emilia (pronounced Emma-lia) would say, “Noe, you dance and I’ll sing.” That’s what my Uncle Merv says anyway. Oh the carefree days of childhood…but who said those days are over? I’m 25 and just this evening my girlfriends and I had one of those sessions…and it was lovely! It reminded me of when I was a little girl and Emilia and I would play dress-up with mom’s old dress up clothes. It was all play, so we could learn how to grow up and be the people we are today. Here is a pic of Lia and little man on her visit at Christmastime.
Well it started off an odd day for me today. First we woke up a little earlier than usual. Chris is in Cali on a water polo trip so Aukai and I were home alone. We played in bed for a while then I woke up thinking that I’d better find my phone b/c I didn’t plug it in last night as I usually do. Long story short I couldn’t find my phone for about 5 hours, which drove me crazy. I felt so disconnected from the world but at the same time was mad at myself for thinking that I was “disconnected” from the world without my phone. I mean, hello, everything is still here right in front of my eyes. The grass, my shoes, the sky, my bike, my lettuce in the garden. It’s still here but why do I need my phone? So I tried to just enjoy the time of not having my phone on me and being “disconnected” from the “world” that wasn’t in front of me. Interesting concept if you think about it. Sometimes I’m so stuck on another planet that I’m not even enjoying what’s right in front of me…my little man! So we learned how to spin in a circle on the floor sitting down. I taught Aukai how and even spun him with my hands slowly. He laughed and smiled his cute little smile. At lunch time about an hour later, when I was cutting up veggies, he did it all by himself just to try it. Then he looked up at me and smiled!! So I cheered him on by clapping for him, saying, “Yay for Aukai!!” and his smile grew even longer.
Then I found my phone! I left it on the ground my Grandma’s house and the rain had poured on it just 20 minutes before so it was out of commission. LIke, “I’ve lived a happy life but now it’s my time…” So I pulled out my extra one. Thank goodness our friend works at the cell phone store! I Lost ALL my Numbers!!!! except for 5. and i had a lot of numbers. i found them online on my service provider’s website and when i was just about to text my friend, she showed up at my house in distress!!! her car broke down and she needed help and was having a BAD day for other reasons. I said it sounded like bad karma to me and maybe she should do something nice for someone else.
Anyway it all ended up good we went to yoga, sushi, music and then back to mi casa with our other friend Jenna where we had the little girl dance-off! And we figured out how to use PhotoBooth on my Mac finally!

The girls and I sang and danced as if we were little girls OMG it was so much fun!! And now I’m exhausted and must get some rest. good night folks!
